FILE FORMATS

We only accept the following formats (for Mac or PC). Must be sized at 100% in CMYK format at 300dpi and above.

RESOLUTION

All artwork must be at 300dpi and above resolution. Supplying your artwork at resolutions higher then 300dpi will not increase the print quality. Start working at 300dpi eg. Scan all images at this resolution , setup your files at this resolution. If your artwork is less then 300dpi you cannot simply convert it to 300dpi. In most cases you will have to start again.

If sending anything under 300dpi please state so on the purchase order that it was intentional.

For LARGE BANNERS AND POSTERS OVER 1 meter x 1 meter, Supplying your artwork at resolutions higher then 300dpi will not increase the print quality.

Please provide all offset printing files as print ready pdfs with the resolution set at 300dpi or higher.

COLOUR MODE

Colour mode must be CMYK. CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, K=Black.

These are the primary colours for print. Printers use combinations of these primary colours to create colour you require. We do not accept files setup as RGB and will not convert your files from RGB to CMYK.

PANTONE COLOURS

We can print pantone colours for large runs involving screen printing but not digital print. Pantone colours refre to special inks which are made up to be a specific colour (other than CMYK).

BLEED

Please specify if there is a border or no border. If no border make sure all artwork has a 3mm bleed. If your artwork has no bleeds you may have white lines on the edges of your prints where the trim was not exact.

FONTS

All fonts must be embedded or included with the final artwork. This is mainly for artwork supplied formats other then TIF. Embed fonts by converting your file into an EPS and then outlining your fonts.

ORIENTATION and SIZE

Tell us if it is portrait or landscape. If you wish us to print to a size other than the artwork size check if this is possible given your original artwork aspect ratio.

PROOFING. Proofing is needed so we can have something for colour matching when printing. For orders over $400 proofing is supplied free of charge. We prefer you supply your own proofing as this is the fastest way to complete your job. If supplying your own proofs it is essential they are the best quality possible. If it is impossible we will supply a proof and charge you $70. These must be sent to you for approval and this will slow your job down. All jobs that are not presented without digital proofing on a high quality paper stock will not be guaranteed for colour matching purposes.

INSTRUCTIONS

Please include instructions with your purchase order. This is critical for urgent jobs. We operate 24hours and it will slow your job down if there are issues that need clarification and we are unable to contact you.
